The Youth in Development Fellowship is a six-month virtual program designed to equip young leaders worldwide with the skills, tools, knowledge, and connections necessary to launch and scale impactful social enterprises. Hosted by Impact Toolbox, the fellowship has empowered numerous alumni to establish ventures that significantly contribute to sustainable development in their communities.

Program Details:

Duration: April to September 2025

Components:

Practical Workshops: Led by global experts, these workshops cover topics such as problem identification, action planning, risk assessment, and developing a theory of change.

Advanced Online Courses: Fellows will enroll in two premium courses on social enterprise development, valued at $1,000, covering business model creation, developing a minimum viable product (MVP), financial modeling, go-to-market strategies, and pitching to investors. Certificates of completion will be awarded for both courses.

Immersive Boot Camps: Three intensive boot camps featuring hands-on training and insights from accomplished social entrepreneurs, along with networking sessions to connect with peers and industry leaders.

Venture Development Prize: Exceptional fellows may receive equity-free financial support ranging from $500 to $2,500 to advance their projects and products.


Eligibility Criteria:

Aged 19 to 35 by the application deadline

Demonstrated interest in starting a social enterprise or pursuing a career in the social sector

Possess a concrete idea or initiative for social change

Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English

Open to applicants worldwide

Availability to complete all fellowship activities

6. Leverage Recommendations

Secure strong reference letters from mentors, supervisors, or colleagues who can attest to your potential as a changemaker.


7. Engage with the Program’s Community

Participate in webinars or free events organized by Impact Toolbox to demonstrate your enthusiasm.
